Marcus Lofthouse
Marcus Lofthouse is an information architect focusing on user interface design for both web-based and desktop applications. His recent work includes performing UI design and usability testing for Copyright Clearance Center, and developing technical solutions for Baillie Hall & Hershman and One80 Design.
Prior to joining Lofthouse Design, Marcus held the position of Educational Technology Specialist at the Cooper International Learning Center at Oberlin College, where he designed multilingual database and multimedia applications with interfaces customized for the college's international users and supported languages.
Marcus holds a Masters of Science in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management from Kent State University. Specializing in Information Use, he designed and conducted usability studies for Kent's communications and marketing department.
Marcus also holds a Bachelor of Music degree in music composition from Oberlin Conservatory of Music. His work in music technology and theory has been published in the journal Perspectives of New Music, and he has designed musical examples for Oxford University Press textbook division.
